7 Effective Ways to Reach a Compromise with Your Partner

If you want to have a lasting and healthy relationship, you should know how to reach a compromise with your significant other. As an important part of any relationship, compromise can help you achieve mutual understanding and it can teach you overcome the hardship of living together. Here are a few effective tips on how to reach a compromise with your partner. Effective Ways to Reach a Compromise with Your Partner 1. Identify the real problem Don’t give way to emotions, but just try to identify the real problem. If you pull other issues in, it will be impossible to find the compromise. It is necessary to reject all disagreements if you want to figure out the true issue. There is no doubt that real love can surmount many barriers. Stick to the real problem and it will be easier to reach a compromise with your partner. 2. Listen to each other Let your partner express their point of view. It doesn’t mean that you should always agree with them, but it is important to take into account all opinions. Don’t think only about yourself, because you can also make mistakes. You need to listen to each other and make exceptions if necessary. 3. Be empathetic When you listen to each other, try to be empathetic. Sometimes it is not enough to understand the situation and listen to each other. Try to be imbued with your partner’s feelings and emotions. Your partner can be wrong, but they might not realize it, that’s why you should handle the situation without conflicts. Try to put yourself in their shoes and it will be easier to reach a compromise. 4. Tweak your compromise Keep in mind that compromise is a kind of agreement that you can tweak every now and then. The main point is to identify the issue and stick to other points of a compromise. There is no need to focus on a certain agreement, because you can tweak it. Try to be open to your partner and communicate freely. Both of you will eventually feel happy if you use your diplomatic skills in resolving conflicts. 5. Define what you want It is difficult to come to a common decision if you don’t exactly know what you want to get in some kind of a disagreement. Only you know what can make you feel okay and happy. Don’t forget to take into account your partner’s ideas and desires. 6. Suggest a possible compromise When you try to understand each other’s feelings and state what you want, it’s important that both of you suggest all possible compromises. If you have a big desire to reach a compromise, both of you should find a suitable outcome with a good grace. This new outcome will satisfy your interests to the maximum. It is necessary to suggest a great number of variants to solve your common problem. 7. Don’t fear to bend a little Sure, much depends on the nature of your character. Don’t be very proud and fundamental when it comes to your happiness. It is almost impossible for both of you to get what you want at once. That is why someone has to bend a little to reach a compromise. Your partner should also be ready to bend if necessary. You won’t lose much, but you may have a chance to find a common ground and get rid of conflicts and live happily. All you need is to follow these 7 rules and be reasonable if you want to reach a compromise. Life is full of situations which can ruin your love and relationship. Everything depends on your willingness to stay together against all the odds. Have you ever used the compromise as a tool to solve life problems?

Skuki Rejects Nomination For The NEA Awards

It is rare for a music artiste to reject a nomination these days in Nigeria, but this particular one, do you think his reason is genuine for rejecting a nomination? Nigerian Pop singer Skuki have rejected an award nomination for Best New Act at the upcoming Nigeria Entertainment Awards. The brothers won the award for ‘Next Rated’ at The Headies in 2010, and it is exactly four years later and they are nominated for best new act, they are angry that they are still considered rookies. Yesterday, May 29, organizers of the annual Nigerian Entertainment Awards (NEA) unveiled this year’s nominees list fielding Skuki in the ‘Best New Act’ category alongside newbies Patoranking, Charass, Tekno and Runtown. Here is what he wrote “Best new act…bawo? Backward never NEA Awards kindly eject my name from that category’, one half of the group Peeshaun tweeted.‘Not moved by social acceptance or crowd mentality. Awards don’t put money in my bank account. Dat nomination had beta been an error.”

How Fela’s "Double Wahala" Has Changed My Life ––Oritsefemi

he secret desire of all Naija musicians is to record one ‘lucky’ hit song that will give him breakthrough. This is what has happened to Oritse Femi with his "Double Wahala for Deady Body" and he is so happy: “There were times when I had no money to pay studio fees and I would ask my friends for a loan. After paying the studio fee, I would be left without the fare for my transport back home. When I eventually trekked home, there would be no food to eat.  “At that time, the fee was N2, 500. I could remember that August Studio in Apapa charged N5, 000 per session. That was where the Plantashun Boys produced all their albums. But I could not afford to go there. So I used Mighty Mouse studio in Ajegunle where the fee was N2, 500 per session.  “Things have definitely changed. Nowadays, I don’t charge less than N3m to perform at a concert. Sometimes the concerts are funded by multinational companies and we have to tour 20 states. Multiply N3m by 20 states and you will understand what I am saying. The situation has indeed improved.” Recalling the rough days before he eventually recorded Double Wahala, Oritse Femi told E-Punch: "I was almost frustrated because my career had over the years failed to generate the desired response from music fans. I prayed to God first for inspiration and basically retraced my steps. It was then it occurred to me that my fans actually want something dynamic for a change. Consequently, because the music we are doing is Afro hip-hop and since Fela was the king of Afro hip hop, I decided to begin by paying homage to him.”

JOKES: WHO’s MORE STUPID?

A farmer caught a thief who had been stealing his yam and decided to drag him to the village square. Half way to the square, the thief said to the man, “Please, I have forgotten my slippers in the farm, can I go and get them?” The farmer obliged, “Hurry up! I would be waiting for you here.” He waited endlessly and realised he had been fooled. He went home and told his elder brother what had happened. His elder brother brutally slapped him and said, “You are extremely dumb! You should have told the thief to wait while you go get his slippers for him!”. Who is more st*pid!

Breaking News: Four more girls escape from Boko Haram camp

Four girls out of the 168 students of Government Girls Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State, that were abducted by Boko Haram in April, have escaped.
The Chairman, Chibok Local Government Area, Mr. Bana Lawan, announced this on Tuesday in Abuja at a one-day stakeholders meeting for validation of draft humanitarian response plan for the abducted girls. The meeting was organised by the National Emergency Management Agency.
Lawan, who was represented by the Director for Personnel and Management, Mr. Musa Elijah, said the number of escapees had risen to 57 as against 53, while 164 girls were still held by the terrorist group.
anxiously waiting for the safe return of their children. Except for the unfortunate situation where two of the parents have passed on. They were known to have BP (blood pressure) issues, although I am not a medical expert, but they will not be opportune to welcome back their daughters.
“Latest report reaching us is that instead of 53, those that have escaped are now 57 and those remaining are 164 and not 168 as before. This is out of the 221 girls that were abducted.”
Lawan explained that it was not all those who registered for the Senior School Certificate Examination in the school that stayed back.
“Those that registered for the SSCE are not all that sat for the exam. Over 500 registered and those who had relatives around decided to move to various places like Kaduna and Maiduguri to write the exams. Those that were left with no relations decided to stay back to take the risk and among them 221 were abducted.”
The chairman said the moral of the girl child in the North-East was low as most of them were discouraged.
“The school in particular has been existing for long and the quality of education in it has been diminishing. So I want to appeal to the Federal Government, through NEMA and the presidential committee, to intervene in rebuilding the school,” he added.

BREAKING NEWS: Jonathan Declares Amnesty For Boko Haram

Minister of Youth Development, Mr. Boni Haruna, on Thursday disclosed that President Goodluck Jonathan has announced amnesty for members of the Boko Haram sect as parts of his administration’s youths-friendly programmes and policies.

Haruna disclosed this while giving an overview of youth’s position in the present administration’s transformation agenda at a special event tagged “A day with young leaders of Nigeria” to mark the nation’s Democracy Day in Abuja.
The minister said series of integration programmes have been lined up for members of the sect who would surrender their arms and embrace peace.
He therefore called on them to embrace the government’s gesture.

The minister said, “President Goodluck Jonathan has also declared amnesty for members of the Boko Haram sect.
“Series of integration programmes have been lined up for the members of the sect who would surrender their arms and embrace peace.
“Let me use this opportunity on behalf of the Federal Government, to call on the members of the Boko Haram sect to embrace the government’s gesture and key to amnesty programme.”

He recalled that in the wake of youth restiveness in the Niger Delta, the government came up with a development programme which provided an opportunity for the youth to express themselves and have a meaningful life.
Haruna said although the amnesty programme was a fallout of a bitter national security, its effect on the youth had been profound.

He disclosed that 30,000 youths have benefitted from the programme which has seen beneficiaries transforming from militants to wealth creators, employers of labour and skilled citizens.
Jonathan, while answering questions from youths who attended the programme, said military alone was incapable of stopping terrorism or any kind of radicalism.
He said terrorism could not succeed in any community without local supports.
He stressed the need for people who are respected by the insurgents to join hands with government to persuade them to desist.

The President said, “Terror succeeds with local support. It will be difficult for terror to thrive where people reject it. It is a major challenge to all of us.
“Military alone cannot stop terror or any radicalism. Terrorists have people they respect, they have community, traditional and opinion leaders they respect. All of us can deradicalise them.

“We will through persuasive activities encourage people to shun violence.”
He said his government was already working out the modalities for reintroducing moral education into school curriculum.
This, he said, would assist in re-orientation the young people in order to distinguish between right and wrong things.

Jonathan promised that his administration would continue to encourage young people because they are no longer leaders of tomorrow but of today.
He said youths are already leading because they decide who rules at all levels of government by virtue of their population which he put at 60 per cent of the electorates.

The President also reiterated his position that the nation’s income distribution was skewed.
While saying that government was working hard to redistribute wealth, he added that one of the emphasis of the government is to encourage self-employment.

Jonathan orders “total war” on Boko Haram

The president said his government remains open to unconditional renouncing of terrorism President Goodluck Jonathan on Thursday vowed “total war” against extremist sect, Boko Haram, ordering a full-scale operation to rid Nigeria of terrorists and end the reign of impunity. In a speech Thursday, marking Democracy Day, the president said Nigeria’s unity and stability as well as the protection of lives and property are non-negotiable. “I am determined to protect our democracy, our national unity and our political stability, by waging a total war against terrorism,” the president said. “The unity and stability of our country, and the protection of lives and property are non-negotiable. I have instructed our security forces to launch a full-scale operation to put an end to the impunity of terrorists on our soil.” The president’s speech came seven weeks after Boko Haram militants abducted more than 250 girls from a secondary school in Chibok, Borno State. The girls remain in captivity despite an international support to help free them. Boko Haram has threatened to sell or marry the girls off if the government fails to release its fighters, detained in across the country. The group has killed 12,000 people since 2009, and has continued in its reign of terror despite emergency rule in Borno, Adamawa and Yobe States. The group stepped up its attacks after the kidnapping of the girls drew international attention, killing hundreds in multiple car bombs in Kano and Jos, Plateau State. “With the support of Nigerians, our neighbours and the international community, we will reinforce our defence, free our girls and rid Nigeria of terrorists,” Mr Jonathan said. The president said his administration has run out of patience and was ready to unleash “total war” against terrorism and the perpetrators. He said the activities of terror groups in the country have caused the citizenry and the nation debilitating pains and horror, particularly the abduction of schoolgirls in Chibok, Borno. “It is now 45 days since the horrifying abduction of the college girls of Chibok. I share the deep pain and anxiety of their parents and guardians. I assure them once again that government will continue to do everything possible to bring our daughters home,” the he said. Mr. Jonathan, however, said that government would be open to dialogue and reconciliation with any one or group willing to genuinely renounce terror. “My government, while pursuing security measures, will explore all options, including readiness to accept unconditional renunciation of violence by insurgents,” he said. “Government will also ensure their de- radicalization, rehabilitation and re-integration into the broader society.” The president underscored the need for all Nigerians to remain united to win the war against terrorism, adding that Nigerians from all sections of the country, including Christians, Muslims, farmers, fishermen, herdsmen, teachers, lawyers, clergy or clerics, the rich and the poor must work together to fight a common enemy. “The war against terror may be difficult, but the days of peace will come again. Terror is evil; nowhere in history has evil endured forever. “The menace of Boko Haram will surely come to an end. I believe that because of your prayers, your courage, hard work, faith and sacrifice, we will ultimately prevail over the terrorists and all other evil forces.” He commended the Armed Forces for the supreme price they have paid so far in confronting insecurity, urging Nigerians to always appreciate them, rather than castigate them. He urged Nigerians to continue to show confidence in the military’s ability win the war against terror, pointing out that there was no doubt that, with the support of Nigerians, the country’s neighbours and the international community, the country would reinforce her defence, free the girls and rid Nigeria of terrorists. Must Read: Reasons to Stop Using Divorce as a Problem Solving Tool

So let me make this crystal clear to everyone…if you’re going through problems in your marriage like the ones mentioned above; or if your spouse won’t listen to you, is too controlling, isn’t freaky enough, or won’t communicate with you, let me tell you like I told all of them:

1. STOP Using divorce as a Problem Solving Tool!
Divorce is not a problem solving tool. It is a marriage ending tool. And you don’t solve problems within your marriage by ending your marriage. That’s like getting a cut on your leg and amputating it to treat the wound.
Do couples get divorced? Of course they do. Is divorce sometimes necessary? Yes indeed. Even Jesus gave just cause for divorce under certain circumstances (I’m not discussing that topic now, but if you want some references, see Matthew 19:1-12 and Mark 10:1-12).

2. STOP Using the Threat of Divorce as Leverage to Extract Compliance!
If you want to stay married and not end it; or if you want to solve the problems within your marriage and not escape from them…then you must STOP considering divorce as the solution to your problem. Especially those of you in your second marriage…because you have precedent. You must STOP using the threat of divorce as leverage to extract compliance. You are being manipulative and using coercion to get what you want. And that’s evil.

3. STOP Using Divorce as an Excuse Not to Mature as a Man or Woman!
Grow up! Become a loving husband and loving wife. Be more understanding an empathetic of your spouse’s thoughts and preferences. You don’t always have to have your way. That’s selfish and you’re devaluing your spouse.

4. STOP Using Divorce as an Excuse to Quit When Marriage is Harder Than You Think it Should Be!
It’s only harder than you think it should be because you have a pre-defined level of effort you planned on exerting. And now that the demands of marriage require you to learn more and grow more…you want to quit. STOP using divorce as an excuse to quit! Use the fact that you’re married as an excuse to find a resolution!
Yes…it’s hard. Yes…she makes you mad. Yes…he hurt you. Yes…her children are coming between you and your wife. Yes he violated your trust.
If you want to fix it…and not end it, then take divorce out of the equation and get some help.
Fa-real tho…the reason why some of you married couples can’t fix these problems is because you don’t know how. I mean…really…who taught you how to solve marital problems. Your mother? Your father? Some workbook you read in premarital counseling? There are a host of professionals, relationship coaches, ministries, etc… that are dedicated to helping couples work through their problems and keep their marriage together. Do this for me…use them! Set aside your pride and use them! What do you have to lose…but your marriage.
So for those who are going through some ‘issuzzz’…but want their marriage to work, cut out the divorce talk. It’s not a problem solving tool. It’s a marriage ending tool.

#EndASUPStrike: Federal Polytechnic Bida ASUP Chapter Suspends Strike

ASUP strike has been suspended by the ASUP chapter of the Federal Polytechnic, Bida. This was contained in a memo issued by the leadership of the Union. We reported to you earlier that the Federal Polytechnic, Jigawa, ASUP Chaper called off the 10-month old strike.

Bida Polytechnic Pulls out of ASUP Strike

1.0 Sequel to the series of appellate meetings held by the Management of the Polytechnic with the Leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP), Bida Chapter, including the interactive meeting held with the same group by the Chairman of the Polytechnic Governing Council (His Excellency, Col. Theophilus O. Bamigboye) on May 7, 2014, for the Union to at least suspend the lingering National strike (like many others had done) to enable the Polytechnic commence and complete the Second Semester of year 2012/2013 Academic session. Management met on Friday May 16, 2014 to review the non-response by the Union to all the pleas and to critically look at the impact of the strike as it affects all facet of life in the Federal Polytechnic, Bida, most especially the students and staff of the Institution.

Consequently, Management has resolved that to avoid total collapse of this Institution, all staff on strike should suspend their actions immediately and resume work to enable the Polytechnic, at least, commence and conclude the year 2012/2013 Second Semester as it had been confirmed that this Polytechnic is lagging behind all the other 22 Federal Polytechnics in the country in all spheres of Academic activities.

2.0 The action by the management is premised on the following:

a) It has been observed that the National strike has been lingering on for more than necessary despite genuine intervention by well-meaning individuals and groups such as the Committee of Chairmen of Federal Polytechnic Governing Councils, COHEADS, students, Emirate Council and others. While the Management shares the sentiments of the Unions for fighting a just cause, the impact of the strike could no longer be borne by the Federal Polytechnic, Bida and God forbids, if action is not taken now, it may lead to the total collapse of the system here.

b) It has been confirmed that currently, some of the Federal Polytechnics did not join or had suspended their participation in the on-going strike, to attend to their peculiar challenges (similar to what is obtainable in Bida) – such Polytechnics include Auchi, Bali, Damaturu, Offa, Kebbi, Ede, Ilaro, Ado-Ekiti, to mention just eight. Also about twenty of the Federal Polytechnics had concluded their 2012/2013 Academic sessions before joining the strike, unlike the situation in this Polytechnic.

c) Management notes that admissions of candidates for the 2013/2014 for ND and HND had been done and almost all the admitted candidates had paid the Acceptance fees. JAMB had even released the results of year 2014/2015 UTME. This is a dilemma for the system.

d) All the scholarship proposals made available to the students of this institution by the Telecommunication companies such as MTN for 2013/2014 session would now be missed by our brilliant students as we shall have no result to present.

3.0 In order to ameliorate the effect of the recently suspended allowances on our staff, the Chairman on behalf of the Governing Council had on May 7, 2014 graciously directed that the allowances be reviewed and reinstated immediately. This, the Management had done in conjunction with the leadership of ASUP and a copy of the reviewed allowances made available as appropriate.

4.0 Management Directive
In arriving at its directives therefore, Management considered the plight of the innocent students who have suffered greatly from the ongoing strike (in addition to the set-back to their future career), coupled with the fact that this Polytechnic (which has standard) has not even commenced the second semester of 2012/2013 Academic session.
Also Management resolved to take all actions and steps to ensure the survival of this Great Institution from impending collapse bearing in mind that the corporate existence of this institution is the responsibility of all.

Management therefore directs that ALL STAFF ON STRIKE IN THIS POLYTECHNIC should their actions and resume work immediately. Such staff are to submit all relevant information required in the Template with their Heads of Department or School Officer between Monday May 26, and Wednesday May 28, 2014.

On behalf of the Rector, I wish to thank all staff for their show of concern at this trying time.

Three Things That Can Destroy Your Relationship/Marriage

There are many factors you
need to avoid if you are to
preserve your relationship/
marriage. Below, we'll talk
about three but important
things to take into
consideration.

LACK OF TRUST:
Trust is the key to every
successful relationship. You
should be able to trust your
partner in every situation. Once
you both can share the same
trust, happiness, peace and love
flows and you both have little to
fear for. Without trust, anger
and quarrel steps in and these
are factors that kills a
relationship/marriage fast.
One thing you should also know
is that trust is earned, not
commanded. Do the right things
which will assure your partner
that you can stay faithful to
him/her and also capable of
evaluating and handling
complex situations.

BRIDGE IN COMMUNICATION:
Communication in this context
does not mean phone calls or
text messages. Communication
here refers to how you relate
with your partner. This matters
a lot because communication is
the key to understanding.
Body language, romantic
interest and sexual mood should
also be well communicated.
Your wife needs to know when
you're in the mood for sex. She's
your wife, not your sex slave so
proper communication in this
aspect will preserve mutual
respect.
How do you communicate with
your partner when he/she is
depressed? How do you
communicate with him/her
when you're in a sour or
devastated mood? Examine this
and amend where necessary.

INFIDELITY:
This is simply the act of being
unfaithful to your partner. You
might be successfully cheating
but then, have you asked
yourself what your partner's
reaction would be if he/she
finds out? Is he/she the type
that would give you another
chance? I'm sure you haven't
asked yourself these questions.
There is no joy in infidelity.
Staying faithful is the surest way
of maintaining a forever
relationship/marriage. Be
advised!

Asup Strike Clocks One Year – Nigeria is Educationally Disadvantaged

Academic activities in Nigeria public polytechnics have been paralyzed for the past 10 months which is over one academic year due to the strike action embarked upon byASUPand the slow pace of action in resolving it by the education ministry. The demands ofASUP unionare deemed genuine and rightful as this is a timely intervention to the educational disaster waiting to rock the Nigeria education system. Going by the figures available, Nigeria is a nation that is educationally disadvantaged. if you agree with me the mass failure of student in SSCE exams (WAEC) yearly, this lead to re-writing the exam again and again for students who fails to make the paper. Also when you compare the number of secondary school graduate yearly to the number ofJAMB UTME applicants, it is obvious that there is a population explosion in excess, that is over 70% of students that applied for JAMB the previous year are still re-applying the next year due to their inability to gain admission into tertiary institution. In most cases these students get frustrated after many trials and they end up on the on the street.(they also constitute the high number unemployed youths). After 10 months of strike action and no forthcoming solution, this show the lack of empathy and commitment on the side of the government and education ministry, also it took the National Assembly 8 months to realize that ASUP is on strike and only recently intervened. In whatever case the students are always on the receiving ends because after wasting one academic year at home if the strike is finally called off and ASUP demands are not met, then we the students have lost at both ends and rendered helpless. I hereby call on everyone that is involved on this strike issue to proffer a lasting solution and tentatively tackle the remote cause to prevent further disaster and curb the academic bomb waiting to explode on this country Nigeria.

10 Reasons To Delay s*x Till You Are Married!

1. S*xual activity for young people arrests their psychological, social and academic development .Studies show that when young people engage in premarital s*x, their academic performance declines and their social relationships with family and friends deteriorate. This is because adolescents are too immature to deal with the explosive s*x drive and it tends to dominate their life.

2. S*x is a powerful force that can destroy if not used properly.Like atomic power, s*x is the most powerful creative force given to man. When atomic power is used correctly it can create boundless energy; when it is used in the wrong way it destroys life. S*x is the same kind of powerful force. S*x is a gift from God to give us the greatest pleasure, to help in creating a deep companionship with one’s spouse and for procreation of the next generation. But if you play with this powerful force outside the bounds of marriage, it destroys you and those close to you.

3. The majority of women cannot enjoy s*x outside of the bonds of marriage. The development of a fulfilling s*x life needs the security and peace of the marriage bond. Premarital s*x usually takes place sneaking around in hidden places dealing with the fear of being caught, the fear of pregnancy and feelings of guilt. All these (worrisome) factors undermine pleasure in premarital s*x, most especially for women.

4. Virginity is to be given to the most important person in your life, the person you committed yourself to stay with forever in marriage.Your virginity is the most precious thing you have to give to your spouse. Once you lose it, nothing in the world can bring it back. Don’t lose something so precious in a thoughtless way.

5. Those who engage in premarital s*x run a high risk of contracting one of the many venereal diseases rampant today,as well as losing their fertility. Not just AIDS, but other common disfiguring diseases like herpes have no cure.

6. Some venereal diseases have no symptoms and
many couples discover many years later that they
became infertile because of these diseases .
Infertility experts estimate that 80% of today’s
infertility is due to venereal diseases contracted
before they married.

7. The best and only method that guarantees 100%
against AIDSand other s*xually transmitted
diseases is to wait for marriage to have s*x and
maintain fidelity in your marriage.

8. Premarital s*x breaks the 10 Commandments
given by God. [/b]The 10 Commandments are given to man by God to make man happy. They are not
outdated and they are not restrictive. If we follow
these laws, we can create happy and prosperous
lives. If we don’t follow them, we will pay a heavy
price in divorce, disease, abortions, illegitimate
children and loneliness. Modern men make a big
mistake when they think that they can break these
eternal laws and not suffer consequences.

9. Premarital s*x runs the risk of conceiving
illegitimate children . Numerous scientific studies
show that the children of single mothers suffer
psychologically and are less successful socially
and academically than children from intact families.
Above all, children need both their father and their
mother. It is wrong to risk having children who will
never have their father’s love, protection and care.

10. If you date and you don’t have s*x, you can
forget about that relationship when you stop dating.
But if you have s*x with those you date and then
break up, the nature of s*xual involvement creates
strong, often unpleasant memories for your whole
life. Every relationship you break up where you had
intimate relations is like a mini-divorce. The
psychological difficulties of these mini-divorces
does damage to your character. Later, when you
are married and go to bed with your beloved
spouse, these unpleasant memories will
accompany you.
True love waits. If a boy or girl truly loves you, they
will want the best for you. They will not want you to
suffer fear of disease, unwanted pregnancy and the
psychological difficulties of premarital s*x. They will
want to experience love with you only in the very
best place of all – the love nest of marriage.

18 Ways To Catch A Cheating Partner

Once your partner thinks you don’t suspect them anymore, use these 18 signs and ways to catch a cheating partner to catch your lover in the act!

#1 Watch the signs. Do you see a change in your partner’s behavior recently? Have they started working out, dressing better, or started using a new seductive intense evening perfume? They may have no reason for the changes, and almost always, these changes may seem very spontaneous.

#2 Drop by unannounced. Every now and then, drop by unannounced to their workplace or come back home early. Don’t make it obvious that you’re just spying on them. Instead, always have a great excuse to walk in unannounced. If your partner is cheating on you, the first thing they’d do *instead of welcoming you with a smile* is hide something or appear surprised or even angry! [Read: 3 big reasons and 27 excuses behind why men cheat!]

#3 Check their recycle bin. The garbage is a great place to dispose of things. And sometimes, it also has a lot of clues. If your partner is on the computer often, check the computer’s recycle bin often. Chances are,
there may be another person’s photo or a little snippet of information that could be of some use.

#4 Snoop on their phone. Does your partner carry their cell phone with them wherever they go, even if it’s a trip to the loo? If that’s happening in your relationship, there’s a good chance your partner’s up to something. Take a peek into their cell phone when you get the chance, especially when they’ve put the phone on charge.

Erased phone logs, a password protected phone, several calls to the same unknown numbers, or phone bills without detailed call information are all good signs that your partner is trying to hide something. [Read: 25 reasons why women cheat so easily on their man]

#5 Spontaneous sex. This works better if you’re a girl, and dating a guy. If your boyfriend or husband comes home late from any unexpected delay, try to have spontaneous sex with them when they get back home. If your guy gets angry, pushes you away or tries avoiding it at all costs, chances are, he may be exhausted down there. He could always wash himself up before getting home, but getting it up immediately and blowing a huge load, that’s not the easiest thing to do!

#6 Follow after a fight. Most cheating partners intentionally try to pick fights, slam the door and walk away, because it makes a great excuse to slip out of the house and meet their adulterous lover. If your partner’s been picking fights and walking out of the house often recently, try to follow them on the pretense of apologizing *if they see you following them*. [Read: 10 tips to fight fair in love and get closer after a fight]

#7 Change your sleeping habits. If your partner’s cheating on you, their sleeping habits may change almost overnight. They may stay up longer using the excuse of work, or you may catch them sneaking around the house late at night. Pretend like you’re asleep as soon as you hit the bed, and try to see if your partner’s up to something. Do they get out of bed for long periods of time?

And it’s not just late nights you need to think about. Some cheating partners may even wake up really early and get on the phone, especially if they realize you suspect them.

#8 Does your partner want space? Space is something all of us need in a relationship, whether we accept it or not. But has your partner started getting fiercely protective about their space recently? Do they hate answering questions about where they’ve been or what they’ve been up to? It’s definitely a small warning sign. [Read: How to give the right kind of space and prevent your partner from straying]

#9 They get jumpy. Try walking in on your partner when they least expect it without announcing yourself, especially if they’ve been by themselves for a while. Does your partner act jumpy or nervous when you walk in on them, especially if they’re over the phone or in front of their computer? They were probably doing something and they don’t want you to know what it was.

#10 Changes in schedule. All of a sudden, your partner may stay out a lot of nights on work, or have a lot of get-togethers on their social calendar with their friends. If your partner doesn’t ever invite you with their friends, or if they claim to be very busy working and still look fresh and happy when they get home, your partner’s probably up to something. [Read: 18 emotional affair signs you probably didn't even notice!]

#11 The phone etiquette. Your partner suddenly needs a lot of space while talking over the phone. They either sound awkward or they walk away from you to the next room while talking over the phone with a few people. You may even find text messages from random numbers with random texts in them.

Remember, when people cheat, they could always store the other lover’s number under another name, and use code words to interact with each other when they miss each other!

#12 Gadgets. Your partner has changed most of their passwords, even if you thought you knew all of them. And even when you ask them for the new password, they make an excuse to hide it from you. And sometimes, you may see that they position their computer facing away from you, and they would never do that before. [Confessions: Having an unexpected affair with a married man turned me into a home wrecker!]

#13 Grooming habits. Hitting the gym, wearing new clothes and perfume are all signs your partner wants to look better. But are they going overboard with their appearances? Has your partner started grooming themselves down there meticulously all of a sudden, even though they aren’t keen on doing something with you?

#14 Sneaking away. Does your partner sneak out of the house every now and then, using the silliest of excuses? “I’m driving down to the store to get something…” “My friends are catching up around the corner…” “I’m bored, I’m going for a drive…” or something along those lines?

That’s alright though. But when you offer to tag along, what does your partner say? Do they make an excuse to go alone? That’s fishy, don’t you think? [Read: Emotional cheating and 10 bad ways it can ruin a cheater's life]

4 shady and sneaky unethical ways to catch a cheating lover

Now the earlier 14 signs would definitely help you find out if your partner’s cheating on you with someone else. But if you want to nail them, you’re going to have to catch them in the act. And there’s no way you can do that unless you walk in on your partner with the person they’re cheating on you with. But if you do choose to go spy-mode and use a few unethical ways, here are four ways to nail your partner’s cheating backside in no time.

But try these ways only if you’re already certain your partner’s cheating on you. These steps are great to catch them, but if they aren’t cheating on you and it was just a false alarm, your partner may feel extremely hurt by your actions! [Read: Should you ever confess to cheating on your partner?]

#15 Hidden cameras. Place a spycam in the room where your partner hangs out most often when they want alone time. If they’re over the phone or doing some funny business behind your back, you’ll know soon enough.

#16 Create a fake profile. Create a fake profile and log on to websites that promote cheating spouses and see if your partner’s using one of them. Or for starters, just create a fake facebook profile and add a lot of random friends to make your account seem legitimate.

And then, send an invite to your partner and get friendly with them. And over a few days or weeks, start flirting with them and see how they respond to you. Are they interested in meeting up or hooking up?

#17 Keyloggers. Keyloggers are software that you can download off the net *some free and some for a price*. Some of these keyloggers, especially the paid versions, can be installed in a computer and the person using it would never know it’s running in the background.

These programs can record whatever you want, the passwords they use, the letters they type, the pages they visit, or even record a video of the screen as they use the computer. You can also download a few paid apps over your phone and install a secret app in your partner’s phone to keep track of their calls too. [Read: How to end an affair and get over it completely]

#18 GPS device. Are you the one who wants to catch your partner red handed? Then the stalker mode may work for you! Pick up a tiny GPS device that can be fixed to the underside of your partner’s car. You can track their movements and pounce on them when their pants are around their ankles in a sleazy motel out of town!

Use these 18 ways on how to catch a cheating partner, and there’s no way a cheater can get away with their adulterous ways. But remember, don’t use the last four ways unless you’re certain your partner’s cheating on you already and you just want to confront them in the act!

Ezekwesili blasts Jonathan over “awful” statement to #BringBackOurGirls protesters

A former Vice President of the World Bank, Oby Ezekwesili, has criticized President Goodluck Jonathan over a statement read on his behalf by one of his ministers on Thursday while addressing a group of #BringBackOurGirls campaigners, describing it as “insensitive and awful.”
The group, led by Mrs. Ezekwesili, had planned to march on the presidential villa as part of its daily protests intended to compel the government to act swiftly in bringing back the over 250 schoolgirls abducted five weeks ago by Boko Haram insurgents.
But as they inched towards the State House, a detachment of police officers formed a barrier, preventing the group from advancing.
However, they were met and addressed by a delegation made up of senior members of the government.
In a statement read on his behalf by the Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory, Olajumoke Akinjide, Mr Jonathan told the campaigners to direct their protests to the extremist Boko Haram sect.
“Government believes that we all must come together to fight terrorism and that protests should be directed at the terrorists who have abducted our innocent daughters and deprived them of a place at the fountain of freedom in our country,” Mr. Jonathan said.
Mr Jonathan also told the campaigners not to politicise the abduction of the girls saying the government does not deserve the blame being heaped on it over the issue.
“We must be careful not to politicize the campaign against terrorism. When a bomb goes off in Kabul, Afghanistan, the people of Afghanistan do not blame the government, they blame the terrorists.
“When a bomb goes off in Baghdad, Iraq, the people of Iraq do not blame the government, they blame the terrorists. When a bomb goes off in Islamabad, Pakistan, the people of Pakistan do not blame the government, they blame the terrorists. When a bomb goes off in Nigeria, we must all unite to fight the terrorists.
“This is the task of this generation. Our daughters must be freed to come home to their parents and loved ones.”
Reacting to the comment Friday through micro-blogging site, Twitter, Mrs Ezekwesili said President Jonathan’s claims were insensitive and awful, portraying him as a man avoiding his responsibility as Nigeria’s leader
“Regrettably, the response of our president’s delegation, delivered by Oloye Akinjide- minister of state for FCT was underwhelming and inadequate,” Mrs. Ezekwesili said.
“Should those insensitive and responsibility avoiding words be the message of our president, then I am afraid, Nigeria/Nigerians are in trouble.
“I choose to believe our president did not say those awful things that were read to us concerning citizens’ demand to #BringBackOurGirls.
“Facts are that regardless of afterthoughts that we are now being served by federal government, the institutional response to their fate was indifference.
“It was only after our social media campaign migrated to street marches- chibok women on 29th April and #bringbackourgirls on 30th – that we saw motion
“Our pressure on the federal government to act – high priority, coherent, sustained, swift and goal/result specific rescue operation – seems to irritate govt.

“We are clear minded that the pressure we have mounted on federal government to act is singularly in the interest of #chibokgirls, there’s no stopping.”

Jonathan signs Nigeria’s 2014 budget as Defence gets 20 per cent

Out of a total budget of N4.962 trillion, the allocation to the defence sector took about N968.127 billion.

The Federal Government on Friday finally released to the public the 2014 budget approved by the National Assembly and signed by President Goodluck Jonathan.
The budget was signed by the President on Friday.
Presenting the approved figures in Abuja, the Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, said out of a total budget of N4.962 trillion, the allocation to the defence sector took about 20 per cent, totalling N968.127 billion because of the growing insecurity situation in the country.
Out of the total provision for the sector, Mrs. Okonjo-Iweala said between January and April, government had disbursed about N130.7 billion to relevant authorities, including the army, navy, air force, police, and civil defence.
Of the disbursed figure, about N85.9 billion was to take care of the personnel costs of the agencies, which was handed to the military authorities for direct payment to their personnel.
She said based on the president’s contingency last year, some money was also used for the payment of additional N24.8 billion, while another approval by the President of N3.8 billion was still being processed.
Assuring that government has done its best to disburse as and when due monies to agencies under the defence sector as needed for their operations, the minister said there were other requirements that needed extra allocation, including those for joint task force and special operations against terrorism.
“No amount of budgetary provision can be enough for the military,” she said. “The military all over the world that engages in war does not always have enough, particularly in this new type of war against terror, which requires equipment to assist them. I don’t think the Nigerian military would be different from any other in the world in the same circumstance.”
Mrs. Okonjo-Iweala said government needs to spend expeditiously to ensure the defence sector receives the right support to prosecute their counter-insurgency operations.
On specific policies designed to help create jobs and grow the economy, the minister said the operations of the Nigeria Mortgage Finance Corporation launched early this year by President Goodluck Jonathan would commence in June with adverts inviting the initial 10,000 prospective beneficiaries of the mortgage finance programme.
She identified the scheme as some of the direct benefits that would accrue from the budget, and said government deliberately introduced the policy to support mortgage refinancing schemes to promote greater liquidity in the economy for housing.
“Government has been working since January to put in place all the relevant institutional frameworks and policies that would support and pick up additional mortgage financing in the economy for housing production. By the beginning of June, government would begin to advertise for people who would benefit from the initial 10,000 mortgages for low income earners,” she said.
She said other sectors through which the government has introduced policies in the budget to grow the economy and help create jobs include manufacturing, agriculture, automobile, aviation and solid minerals, where there would be lower preferential tariffs on equipment to encourage more participation.
She said the delay in signing the budget by the president has minimal impact as it did not hamper the running of the economy.
This, she said, was because of the provision in the constitution, which allowed government to continue the implementation of the budget up to 50 per cent based on the previous year’s budget before the approval of the new budget.
“Implementation of the budget has not impeded the impact of the performance of the economy, as salaries and debt service have been paid as and when due; while N200 billion capital budget has been released for the first quarter, the second tranche is to be released next month,” she said.
On the N53 billion padding in the budget by the National Assembly, the minister said it was scattered through the capital and recurrent budget to beef up allocations in certain sectors including the police spending, army and other security agencies.
The Director General, Budget office of the Federation, Bright Okogu, who provided the details of the revised budget, said the approved Medium Term Expenditure Framework, MTEF, was based on $77.5 per barrel benchmark price for oil as against N79 per barrel last year.

Seven (7) Ways To Get His Attention Without Flirting [LADIES ONLY]

Most guys take the lady that approach him for granted but if you see a cute guy, but aren’t comfortable strutting your stuff to get him to like you, there are other ways to get his attention. Your looks aren’t everything. Even though men are visual creatures, they understand that you have a personality attached to your face and body. Here are some ways to get his attention without showing skin (or while you’re showing skin): 1. LET HIM KNOW One of the best ways to get his attention is by giving him attention. You don’t have to shower him with compliments, but at least let him know that you exist. If you see him walk past you, acknowledge him. If you’re not close enough to chat, give him a flirty smile or simply make eye contact. 2. PUT ON PERFUME His sight isn’t his only sense. By wearing perfume with a delicious scent, you could capture his attention. Plus, every time that he smells the scent in the future, he’ll automatically think of you. It’s a way to stay on his mind, even when you’re not around. 3. SWEETLY SOCIALIZE If you don’t want to approach him to chat, talk to the people around him. If you’re in class together and he never hears you speak, the only way he’ll be attracted to you is if he likes your looks. By being friendly to others when he’s around, he’ll see what a great gal you are. He might even strike up a conversation to get a few moments alone with you. 4. CONVERSE WITH CONFIDENCE When you’re answering a question, don’t trail off or make your statement sound like you’re asking another question. Be confident when you speak. Even though everyone knows what it feels like to be nervous, people gravitate toward individuals that act like they know what they’re doing. 5. ALLOW LAUGHTER Laughter is a beautiful sound. Don’t laugh at everything you see, but don’t hold back your giggles either. Men like to be around women that are fun, and that enjoy life. If he sees you genuinely laugh at something without holding back, he’s sure to notice how happy you are, and be enticed. 6. DON’T HIDE AWAY You can’t get his attention if you’re never around. If you know that he works at a local restaurant, and you avoid that restaurant, you’re doing yourself a disservice. Go down there occasionally in order to see him. Just don’t show up too often, because you don’t want to come across as a ‘creeper.’ 7. BE YOURSELF It sounds cliche, but this saying is so popular, because it’s true. If you love babbling on about a certain celebrity or spouting out corny jokes, don’t suppress those topics in order to impress a guy. If you do, and you attract someone, he won’t be the right person for you. But if you’re always yourself, then the guys that pay attention to you will be worth your time. While your lean legs and fabulous face are excellent guy magnets, your personality is equally important. If a guy doesn’t care about your personality, then why would you want to be with him? You need someone that cares about whom you are as a person, and that goes deeper than your looks. What was the first thing you noticed about your crush, or current partner?
